How we helped
Asbestos Survey Type Recommended :
Our asbestos experts recommended the only type of survey which could be completed was homebuyer (management) survey. The reason for this was because the property was not yet theirs legally , therefore only minimally intrusive inspections can be carried out.
What was involved in the survey :
- Desktop survey carried out and risk assessment (Pre-site Survey)
- Agree a date and time with the estate agents to collect keys
- Prep and Provide Survey Plan to the Client
- Collect keys from estate agents and attend Derby property
- Surveyors walk round to familiarise themselves with the layout
- Survey starts with expert asbestos surveyors inspecting all parts of the property
- Samples removed for laboratory testing
- Make safe any areas which have been sampled
- Debrief with the client and take samples to UKAS Accredited Laboratory
- Trained surveyor to write up survey report and implement sample results , provide recommendations on any asbestos identified to the client within the report.
Conclusion :
No asbestos was found in the property which gave the first time buyers complete peace of mind they were not buying a house with asbestos in it.
